The article deals with the issues of adaptive physical education of preschool children with mental retardation in the scientific and practical center of APE "Without borders". The effectiveness of adaptive physical education classes aimed at improving the development of coordination abilities of children with mental retardation using the means of rhythmic gymnastics and socio-dramatic rhythmic gymnastics is theoretically justified and experimentally proved. The effectiveness of using the complexes of exercises of socio-dramatic rhythmic gymnastics and fitball-gymnastics at lesson was proved during the pedagogical experiment by the dynamics of the results obtained. The results of the study can be used as a basis for recommendations for specialists in the field of adaptive physical education, solving health-improving and correctional tasks of preschool children with mental retardation.
