On the basis of morphological and genetic studies of rare plant species Hedysarum ucrainicum Kaschm. and H. cretaceum Fisch. using morphology and ISSR markers indicates, that H. ucrainicum should be excluded from the list of rare and endangered species of Volgograd Province, since it does not occur in this area.
