On Mandelstam's stanzas

Бесплатный доступ

The article deals with particular qualities of the original stanzas by Osip Mandelstam, describes its strophic repertoire and examples of original author’s deviations from the canonical forms. We see the evolution of poet’s stanzas: from imitation of Symbolist’s strophic experiments (sonnets, triolet) through neutral quatrain strophic - to appropriate metric and rhythmic of nontrivial strophic compositions that supports common poet’s intention to heteromorphic. Particular attention is paid to the chain and strong strophic forms, as well as creative anomalies which are distinctive for late poet’s lyric
