Electronic textbook as a means of improving the quality of military education

The electronic textbook is one of the main elements of the electronic educational environment. The electronic textbook as a didactic means of teaching helps to activate the cognitive activity of cadets, to increase interest in learning about the surrounding reality, to develop mental abilities and thereby to improve the quality of training of cadets. The purpose of this study was to determine the essence, content and functions of the electronic textbook “Psychology and Pedagogy”, as well as the principles of its use in the educational process of a military university. The use of an electronic textbook in the course of training cadets is based on the didactic principles of scientific and accessibility, consistency and systematicity of the presentation of educational material, practical orientation, individualization, intersubject. The electronic textbook performs information-educational, educational-developing, motivational-stimulating and control-correcting functions. The effectiveness of the educational process is increased due to the widespread use of the electronic textbook in all types of training sessions, as well as in the process of organizing the independent work of cadets.
