The paper proposes an a.c. power generating system concept, which makes it possible to transfer its total power output to a single load, for a stand-alone closed-loop gas-turbine power generating unit. Keeping in mind the specific nature of closed-loop gas-turbine power generating systems intended for use in spacecraft, the paper selects techniques and addresses the processes of frequency and voltage regulation, and the technique of parallel operation of two power generators with excitation by permanent high-coercitivity magnets. The paper discusses a method for puttlng together a mlnlmal load requlred to llmlt the rotor r.p.m. ln an emergency turbo compressor-generator. It provldes estlmates of parameters and experimental characterlstlcs of an electrlc power generator for a brassboard prototype of the turbo compressor-generator.
