On the basis of geobotanical descriptions ecological characteristics of 6 useful species in the conditions of the Baikal region (Achillea asiatica Serg., Adonis sibirica Patrin ex Ledeb., Bergenia crassifolia (L.) Fritch, Chamaenerion angustifolia (L.) scop., Fragaria orientalis Losinsk., Fragaria vesca L.) are obtained. Ecological characteristic are done for moisture, salt regime, soil acidity and light. Model species of useful plants belong to different fractions of potential valence. On the scale of hydration are salt regime Achillea asiatica, Adonis sibirica, Bergenia crassifolia, Fragaria orientalis belongs tostenovalent and hemistenovalent types. On the scale of of soil acidity - Bergenia crassifolia, Chamaenerion angustifolium, Fragaria orientalis belongs to mesovalents. Aurulentus types on the scale of light-shading - Bergenia crassifolia, Chamaenerion angustifolium, Fragaria vesca. Indicators of ecological valence indicate that for most of the studied species the main factors limiting their distribution are moisture and salt regime. At the same time, the populations of the studied species of useful plants in the Western Baikal region can grow in a fairly wide range of soil acidity and illumination. The data obtained complement the understanding of the ecological diversity of cenopopulations of useful species and can serve as a basis for monitoring plant communities, determining the potential species richness of phytocenoses and their introduction.
