The aim of this study was to determine the association of -1021C/T polymorphism of the dopamine beta-hydroxylase (DBG) gene and predisposition to development of alcohol psychosis. The authors genotyped DNA samples from 316 Russian males (116 patients with alcohol psychosis and 200 healthy controls). Polymorphisms were identified using PCR. Absence of differences frequencies of genetic markers under discussion between healthy donors and those with alcohol psychosis living in the Kemerovo region has been shown.
