Wear resistance of coatings when strengthening harrows’ teeth by arc surfacing

The article presents data on the possibility of using reinforcing coatings of high hardness in order to increase the life ofparts. It is proposed to determine influence of a number ofparameters and conditions of surfacing on durability of the strengthened tooth harrows to wear. It was found that the most significant factors are the heat treatment after surfacing, the angle of inclination of the roller to the horizon and the zone or height of surfacing. The results of laboratory studies show that the highest coefficient of wear resistance obtained in samples with a layer of electrodes deposited brand X-5 type E350H26G2R2ST. According to the results of operational research, an adequate regression equation is obtained, which expresses the dependence of the response on three factors and their double interactions. The equation states that the greatest influence on the wear resistance of hardened teeth of harrows is exerted by the surfacing zone. With the increase in the values of all factors, resistance to wear increases.
