Change of soil-ecological index values of intermountain steppe hollows in Gorny Altai in connection with aridity increase

Article is devoted to the analysis of soil-ecological index (SEI) values of intermountain steppe hollows in Gorny Altai - Uymonsky, Kuraysky and Chuysky. Authors had been considered a geological-geomorphological structure, climatic features and soil cover of investigated territories that has allowed to build the given hollows abreast on increase of aridity degree. The analysis of received SEI values for these intermountain hollows has prove the supposition that aridity increase is expressed, in particular, in reduction of SEI values.
