The article is devoted to the traditions of an informal behaviour of pupils of Cadet Corps and Military (Junker) Schools of the late 19th - early 20thcenturies. The author reveals the contents and the essence of specific cultural practices existing in the Russian Military School and considers the latter as the way of early socialization of boys and adolescents trained as officers.
