The results of long-term research the growth and development of Hedysarum аlpinum L. in middle taiga subzone of Komi Republic have been obtained. A detailed morphological characteristic of plants of different ontogenetic states of pre-generative period has been given. A raw phytomass of plants of different age, having a big content of mangiferin, has been determined.
