The history of the formation of state control and supervision in the field of information technology and communications

This article discusses the organization of state supervision and control in the field of information technology in the Russian Federation. The genesis of the powers of the authorized state body in this area of regulation is characterized. A study was conducted on the development of the functions of the relevant federal services: the State Communications Supervision Service, Gossvyaznadzor, Rossvyaznadzor, Rossvyazohrankultura, and Roskomnadzor. The powers of Roskomnadzor in the field of state control over communications and information technologies are characterized.
