The historical experience of development and problems of improvement of the contemporary insurance institute in Russia

In the article is investigated the experience of institute of insurance in the prerevolutionary Russia. The characteristic of the domestic practice of insurance is given, the Russian system of the state regulation of insurance market is researched. The contemporary condition and perspective of insurance system is analyzed.
