Source study problems in the analysis of monarchist sentiments in the Russian society at the beginning of XXth century (the study of the letters from citizens to the chief council of the Union of Russian people)

The article is devoted to the source study of the collection of letters from citizens to the Chief Council of the Union of Russian people, a right-wing monarchist organization of Russian Empire at the beginning of XX th century. The collection is a part of funds of the State Archives of the Russian Federation. The author concludes that this collection of letters is a precious source of information allowing to reveal the nature of the social support of the Union, the image of organization among the citizens and the popularity of its ideas.
