The paper describes results of archaeological excavations of kurgan No. 2 near the Lgovskoe village of the Kirovsky District, Republic of the Crimea (kurgan No. 2 from the group of two kurgans). Twenty two kurgans attributed to various historical periods and cultures of the Bronze Age and the Iron Age were examined in this kurgan. The main core of the burial site belongs to representatives of the elite of the local society referred to the Yamnaya historical and cultural community; a complex kurgan mound made up of many layers was erected over these core graves.
