Hot-stamped blanks from alloy EP718-ID were machined with end mill. The influence of milling cutting conditions on change of surface layer microstructure researched. It is established that with the increase of depth of the removed layer the processes of return and recrystallization at the surface layer are proceeding by local heating while metal cutting.
