In 2016 we continued security and rescue work on the monument of the Upper Paleolithic Afontova Mountain II, located on a high slope of the radical left bank of the river Yenisei. The total area of the studied areas was 1,020 m2. As a result of research several hundred of artifacts were found (studies ongoing). Selective localization of faunal remains in some areas is an artificial factor associated with human activities. All found in 2016 artifacts (rumble strips, cores, scrapers, etc.) belong to Afontova culture and have no sharp techno-typological differences between the layers.
