Prospects of using the EM-preparation “Vostok”, and also the microorganisms isolated from it for obtaining electric energy in microbic fuel elements are shown. The consortia of microorganisms which are a part of EM-preparation “Vostok”, as well as the individual strains isolated from it, are capable not only eliminate various components of sewage, but also to generate electric energy.
