Results of the treatment of 39 patients with obstructive jaundice and purulent cholangitis. For rapid diagnosis of infectious agents is further used in determining blood concentration by gas-liquid chromatography of volatile fatty acids which are metabolites opportunistic bacteria. Statistically significant thresholds of individual volatile fatty acids that allow to diagnose an anaerobic non-clostridial infection caused by the most severe forms of purulent cholangitis. The regularities of changes of indicators of volatile fatty acids, can further evaluate the response of host and microflora to the ongoing training and preoperative biliary decompression.
