Investment activities of a commercial bank in the securities market during the pandemic period

In this article the study of investment activity of Russian commercial banks in the most modern economic conditions with regard to the factor of COVID-19 pandemic influence, which is characterized by high risks, uncertainty and weighty changes in absolutely all spheres of economy and finance. The main risks faced by commercial banks in the course of their investment activities are noted. The author has conducted a thorough study and summarized the assessment of investment activity and financial stability of Russian commercial banks on the example of a number of specific banks. The interrelation between investment activity of commercial banks and their financial stability during the global pandemic is also shown, as well as the influence of profitability of investment activity on the general financial results. The tips for improving the management of investment activity of commercial banks aimed at improving the financial sustainability of Russian commercial banks operating in the realities of the global pandemic are highlighted.
