Institute of the commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation

The analysis of issues related to the activities of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation is essential from the point of view of systematization of legal knowledge in this area, as well as in the aspect of the development of civil society and the further construction of a rule of law state in Russia. In the article, the authors, examining the scientific literature on the identified issues, as well as considering the organizational and legal foundations of the functioning of the institution of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, substantiate ways to improve this institution as one of the most important elements of the system for the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in the Russian Federation.
