Playful communication in the genre of flirting

The article deals with the results of the study of the playful and non-playful communicative practices of flirting based on the TV show “Friends”. The article analyzes the influence of humor on the outcome of flirting, the mechanisms of functioning of playful communicative intention markers in dialogues containing flirting. There is revealed the correlation between the playfulness and the outcome of flirting.
