Characteristics of the digital transformation process: new opportunities and challenges generated by digital transformation

Бесплатный доступ

The article examines the phenomenon of digitalization as a civilizational phenomenon inherent in a culture based on logocentrism and rationalism. The essence of digitalization can be correlated with the concept of M. Heidegger's philosophy of technology "postav" (Gestell). Digitalization is not limited only to new forms of economic organization; this phenomenon also reflects global changes in socio-political and cultural reality. The uncontrollability and potential danger of these changes cause concern in a number of governments, which is reflected in the desire to take the digitalization process under state control. Involvement in the processes of digitalization contributes to the formation of a "knowledgeable class" of people with a worldview that is formed in the context of the narratives of the Eurocentric liberal discourse. This worldview has a number of features that must be considered not only to involve representatives of the "knowledgeable class" of digitalization in joint projects, but also when assessing possible socio-political and cultural challenges that the digitalization process contains.
