Urban practices are a significant component of a modern city. The nature of urban practices is determined through the goals, forms, methods and mechanisms of collective work at the local level, willingness to cooperate with the main subjects of the city, namely representatives of government, business, and civil society. Willingness to cooperate is considered as a parameter that indicates the residents' maturity and ability to be socially active for the purposes of city development. These and other basic characteristics of urban practices, the emphasis on which is made in publications in the media, construct social reality, demonstrate patterns of citizens' behavior in the course of solving emerging problems. Urban practices as an expression of the observed social activity are one of the ways of constructing the social space of the city. The analysis of the materials of the city press allowed reconstructing the forms, content, and goals of the practices.
