Geographical conditions and evolution of vegetation cover of Middle Volga region on the Pleistocene

An attempt of reconstruction of the geographical conditions and vegetation cover on the territory of Middle Volga region (within the borders of Samara and Ulyanovsk regions) is taken. The data on the composition of pollen spectra is added. Some aspects of the age of relict plant species and status of the Zhiguli Upland as floral refugium are discussed.
