The article is devoted to the study of gender equality in the field of labor. This article examines the main features of gender equality in the labor law of the Russian Federation, and also touches upon the problems associated with the implementation of this principle. The author believes that the principle of gender equality in labor relations cannot be considered in absolute meaning. In the article, the author raises the question of the prospects for the implementation of job quotas for women in the Russian Federation. The author believes that at the moment Russia is not ready to apply the quota policy common in European countries, as it causes a contradiction and an ambiguous opinion in society.
