It’s been discovered that young male and female swimmers with a hypersthenic somatotype have their performance indicators of the oxygen transport system at a higher level. The swimmers of both sexes, the representatives of the hypersthenic somatotype, have the highest values of indicators of the biochemical and hematological status of the organism, and representatives of the asthenic somatotype have the smallest, both for boys and especially girls. The hormonal profile of young swimmers of both sexes is characterized by a very high concentration of cortisol in representatives of the normosthenic and hypersthenic somatotypes and a much lower level of this hormone in representatives of the asthenic somatotype. In swimmers of both sexes, the highest concentration of testosterone and estradiol is observed in representatives of hypersthenic, and the lowest one is in representatives of asthenic somatotypes.
