Formation of a system to promote Russian television content abroad

The article substantiates the concept of reorientation of the state foreign economicpolicy and activities of domestic enterprises under the conditions of Westernsanctions to new promising markets of the "eastern direction". It provides anoverview of the current situation in the distribution of TV content in Russia and theworld. The competitive advantages of foreign countries, namely East Asian countries,as well as leading information companies in Russia are considered. The strengthsand weaknesses of the informational Russian international multilingual networkof news TV channels are identified. Special attention is given to Japan as one of thepromising markets for the spread of Russian media influence. A system of strategiesand concrete recommendations are offered to help domestic TV channels make theirway into the Asian media market.
