Formation of the basis of digital security as a component of digital competence

The article discusses the concept of “digital competence”; fi ve key competencies of the digital economy are presented; examines the results of a questionnaire survey among students of Miass Geological Prospecting College on certain aspects of digitalization; The experience of the college on substantiating the need, developing and introducing into the variable parts of the main professional educational programs the subject “Fundamentals of Digital Security” (FDS) is presented; the experience of students passing the program “Introduction to Cybersecurity” from the leading international IT company Cisco in the framework of the implementation of the subject of the FDS is proposed.
