Education at a modern military institution as an important stage of professional development of a military specialist performs another crucial function, that is building the future officer’s readiness to pedagogical activity among the military staff. Future officers’ readiness to educative work is revealed in development of value- motivation, cognitive and action-practical components. As the researches show most cadets have an intermediate level of readiness to educative work (55,5% on average). A high level of readiness in 16,6% is revealed only with regard to motivation. The majority of cadets demonstrated a low level with respect to all components of readiness. Problems in preparing future officers for educative work taken into account, the pedagogical experiment was developed. Its aim was to create pedagogical conditions for building future officers’ readiness for educative work among military staff. The experiment was based on the developed and implemented system of actions within the pedagogical project “An Officer’s Pedagogical Culture”. The experimental work was carried out stage by stage. The first stage revealed difficulties related to cognitive and action-practical components. The second stage included development and implementation of the complex programme designed to increase the level of significance of the cadets’ mastering pedagogical competences (value-motivation component). The third stage was devoted to development and realization of dialogue platforms where peculiarities and problems of the officer’s educative work at military units were discussed, situations were reconstructed, pedagogical tasks requiring reasonable solutions were set (cognitive component). At the forth stage the programme “Future Officer’s Pedagogical Training” was developed and implemented into the educational process. Its task was to form pedagogical skills in educative work necessary for future officers in military teams. As a result, the number of cadets with high motivation to acquire pedagogical competences has increased (up to 50,0%), with high level of pedagogical knowledge - up to 37,5%, with high level of pedagogical skills - up to 29,2%. The conducted experiment proved that one of the priorities to solve in the educational process at a military educational institution along with mastering a military profession is to form in future officers the inner need of acquiring pedagogical competences which in military service can be the basis for its success.
