Financing of social protection programs in the northern regions and the arctic zone

The article considers the main principles of financing social protection programs. A comparative analysis of state programs of the Komi Republic, the Murmansk and Arkhangelsk regions is carried out. The main methods of spending budget funds for implementing social protection programs are outlined. The conclusions on the results of the analysis are formulated.
