The article investigates various ways of interpreting the concepts of «health», «healthy lifestyle» in various fields of scientific knowledge - philosophy, cultural studies, sociology, anthropology, etc. Conducts a comparative analysis of historical and cultural images of health and its criteria in relation to the understanding and status of the human body in axiological paradigms of different stages of cultural history of mankind.
