The phenol resin series modification by 1.2-epoxy-3-(9`-carbazolyl)-propane (ECP) and ED-16 epoxy resin was investigated in order to develop the impregnating solution to improve the properties of abrasive disks on a ceramic sheaf. The ECP novolak phenol-formaldehyde resins possibility of modification is established, and the modification technique is offered as a result of the research. It is s that the reaction of phenolic hydroxyl groups of resins with the epoxide group of ECP is in the base of modification. The ECP SF-112, SF-170, SF-010, SF-1810 and SF-1807 resins products of modification, obtained by means of the elaborated technique are used in the impregnating solution for abrasive disks. The working capacity of impregnated disks increases 2.5-3 times when grinding ball-bearing rings. The processed surfaces quality rises, while the spoilage decreases.
