Additional professional education of SPO teachers in the field of inclusive education: challenges and opportunities

In conditions of inclusion of education the teacher of the secondary vocational education system fi nds himself in a new psychological and pedagogical space. This space requires from the teacher to purposefully develop professional competence and ability to respond fl exibly to the special needs of students with disabilities, to use alternative forms and methods of interaction with them. The professional competence of the teacher, when working with people with disabilities and persons with disabilities, is developed in the process of special training or in the presence of certain organizational and pedagogical conditions. The additional professional education system with the available resources and the possibilities could act as such conditions. The article describes the practice of developing professional competence of teachers of the secondary vocational education system of the Chelyabinsk region, carrying out the educational process with disabled people and persons with disabilities.
