Debatable questions in the study of the Neolithic age in the steppe Volga region

The author considers a number of debatable issues of the study of the Neolithic of the steppe Volga region. He discusses the validity of dates on various organic materials, the chronological relationship of materials from the sites Varfolomeevskaya and Jangar. He also examines the interaction between the population of the North and South of the Volga region and the debatable problems of the study of the productive economy in the Neolithic.
