Diffraction losses and power distribution in a gas-discharge laser over transverse modes

The results of numerical and analytical researches of diffraction losses in the compound open resonators are being presented. Known numerical data is used; interpolation formulas for the diffraction losses, received with application of laws of similarity of resonators, are presented. Thus, it was possible to significantly expand the area of applicability of results on multi-element resonators containing Gaussian and non-Gaussian elements (aperture with sharp edges, discharge capillary) The method allows to determine the configuration of resonators providing generation of the fundamental transverse mode, power distribution by transverse modes at multimode generation and dependence of power on a misalignment of mirrors of the resonator.
