Dialogism of Manuel Puig's novel "Betrayed by Rita Hayworth"

The article is devoted to the analysis of the first novel by Manuel Puig "Betrayed by Rita Hayworth". Initially the novel was supposed to be a screenplay which provoked its dialogic composition form. The dialogism of the novel is to be analyzed according to the philosophy of Bakhtin as well. The absent narrator assures the dialog between the characters and a reader. The autobiographical nature of the novel makes it possible to consider the dialog between the characters and the author. The novel turns out to be a polylogue.
