Wooden fire devices from east Turkistan collections of A. Stein

The article is devoted to consideration of the materials connected with fire-sticks by devices from a collection of A. Stein. All finds occur from the deserted cities on border to desert Takla-Makan and have good safety. In the beginning of XX century they have been investigated Т. A. Joyce who has noted influence of «Graeco-Buddhist» culture on the population of East Turkestan which has kept tradition of reception of fire with the help of wooden adaptations. Similar devices used also peoples of a steppe strip of Siberia.
