The author explores the problem of the struggle for control over the students and the student movement in Japan that took place among the Japanese political parties in the post-war period. Unlike Western countries, a large part of student associations here was formed under the influence of the Japanese left-wing parties. The ruling Liberal Democratic Party began its active work in the universities only in the 1960s being scared by the anti-war and anti-monopoly actions of the student youth.
