Activities of municipal authorities on the implementation of mass sports development programs

The article analyzes the activities of municipal authorities for the implementation of programs for the development of mass sports. The factors influencing the increase in motor activity of the population, which must be taken into account when developing a strategy for the development of the municipality, are considered. The expediency of dividing the specialized municipal authorities into units involved in sports of high achievements (at the municipal level) and mass sports (“sport for all”) is noted.
