CFD-simulation of valve from pneumatichydraulic system of LPRE

The description of approaches to simulation of valves of pneumatichydraulic system of the liquid power rocket engine (LPRE) by method of computing hydrodynamics (Computational Fluid Dynamics - CFD) on the example of differential fuel valve of the LPRE with closed fuel scheme is provided in article. Explicitly the principle, design schemes and algorithm of valve functioning are described, the assumptions made at creation of geometrical model of hydraulic path of the valve are described, the calculated technique for definition of its hydraulic characteristics is given. On the basis of calculations some hydraulic characteristics of the valve are defined. Offers on use of the described simulation technique for a research of static and dynamic characteristics of elements of the LPRE pneumatichydraulic system are given.
