Diseases of mint (Mentha L.), lavander (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.) and clary sage (Salvia sclarea L.) in VNIIMK's collection (review)

To obtain a larger volume of vegetative mass free of diseases and quality breeding material for selections, it is necessary to know information about the diseases of essential oil crops, since the main direction in the cultivation of these plants is to obtain essential oil from the vegetative mass. The production of essential oil has recently become an important direction not only in foreign countries, but also in Russia for some industries. Maintaining a collection of aromatic crops is carried out in Voznesensky branch of the Federal Research Center “V.S. Pustovoit AllRussian Research Institute of Oil Crops”. On the basis of the analysis of domestic and foreign sources of literature, as well as results of our observations of the essential oil crops diseases, information on the main diseases of these crops in the collection of the Voznesensky branch is given.
