Automated library information system of BEN RAS: transition to KOHA software

The article discusses the prerequisites for the modernization of automated library information systems in the context of digital transformation. It examines the factors influencing the decision to migrate, as well as the problems that libraries face. The requirements and tasks for ALIS are determined by the example of BEN RAS. The process of choosing technical and technological solutions is described, the choice of new Koha software and its transition during the modernization of ALIS is substantiated. The results are analyzed and the results of the work carried out are summarized.
