Anti-suicidal motives of Buryatia adolescents who committed a suicide attempt

The article presents the results of a study of anti-suicidal motives in a group of adolescents living in the territory of Buryatia and having made a suicidal attempt. Significant anti-suicidal factors are related to family responsibility; motives related to children and survival, ability to cope with a stressful situation. Less significant anti-suicidal factors are motives such as fears of committing suicide, fears of social disapproval and moral attitudes that contradict the commitment of a suicidal attempt. It is revealed that the structure of anti-suicidal motives remains unchanged in all age and gender comparison groups.
