This article aims to conduct an extensive comparison between the migration policy of two European political parties situated on the far-rightof the political spectrum. The author highlights the differences in the approaches that the two parties chose to attract voters. While both seem to focus on the “menace” represented by immigration, the Finnish party argues for so-called welfare chauvinism, which foresees that state sponsored welfare should be exclusively granted to the Finnish people. The National Front portrays immigration, and especially Muslim immigration as a direct threat to France’s national security. An in-depth analysis of the official statements and programs as well as the unofficial dialogue coming from members of the two parties shows how their motivations are inherently racist, often implicit, and sometimes explicit.
