On the analysis of imidazole and its derivates effect on Allium cepa

It was shown that imidazole and its derivates able to inhibit the germination and roots growth of Allium cepa. Their toxicity correlated with their molecular weight, volume and total dipole moment. The substances inhibited the proliferative activity and induced the chromosome aberrations in root meristems. The negative correlation connected the cytogenetic activity and parameters of molecular mass, volume and total dipole moments.
