Actual problems of conducting an inspection in the course of criminal proceedings

In this paper, the author pays attention to certain aspects of the production of the investigative action "inspection", which is one of the key points of the investigation of virtually all categories of crimes. The author points out the need for the practical application of the achievements of forensic technology in direct work at the crime scene, analyzes the essential characteristics of this investigative action on the basis of the works of leading forensic scientists. The paper identifies such problematic issues as conducting an inspection in a home, the relationship between the concepts of "investigative inspection" and "examination" and some other aspects that a law enforcement officer faces.
