Activity of the nitroxidergic system in cats and dogs with chronic kidney failure

Бесплатный доступ

The species and sex characteristics of the nitric oxide system in the serum of cats and dogs with chronic renal failure were studied. It was found that in the disease of chronic renal failure, the activity of the nitric oxide system decreases. Thus, in sick cats, the concentration of nitric oxide metabolites decreases more actively than in sick cats by almost 2 times versus 1.6 times, and in sick dogs by 4.8 times in females and 4.1 times in males. The most intensive reduction of nitric oxide metabolites is observed in dogs, which is associated with the time of detection of this pathology.
