Activization of the development of small and medium entrepreneurship of the Volgograd region through its interaction with a large business

The article examines the state of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of the Volgograd region, based on the analysis of indicators of its activities. Based on the results of this analysis, the author concluded that the state of the SMEs in the region does not correspond to the expected parameters. A comparison of previous is made and current programs aimed at the development and support of small and medium-sized businesses in the Volgograd region. The significant difference of the programs is revealed, which consists in changing the system of subsidizing SMEs in the current period. The author assigns a crucial role in the development of SMEs to the system of infrastructure support for small and medium-sized businesses, defined as the interaction of public authorities and infrastructure institutions, and aimed at creating favorable conditions for the effective functioning and further development of SMEs. An important factor in supporting SMEs is highlighted - the cooperation of small and large businesses and the formation of clusters, as the most promising direction, allowing to intensify the development of SMEs by strengthening the cooperation links of SMEs with large corporations.
