The modern development of technical means represents an opportunity to document objects of cultural heritage, including rock art, in the form of three-dimensional models. 3D models of rocky surfaces with images allow conserving the complete information about parameters of a relief and the figure applied on it that gives the chance to conduct a research in vitro. Among the main methods of receiving three-dimensional models only the structured-light 3D scanning method allows to receive the best result in relation to petroglyphs. Three-dimensional scanning on the basis of the structured light was used in case of a study of petroglyphs on the river Chagan in 2016. Due to installation of cameras of the improved resolution we succeeded to receive better quality of 3D models in comparison with previous year of researches.
